SMS Terms and Conditions

The terms that apply when you receive text messages or app sign-in codes from First Baptist Church Wisner.

Effective August 11, 2026

These terms govern the text messaging (SMS) programs operated by First Baptist Church Wisner ("FBC Wisner," "we," "us," or "our"): our church-updates program and the one-time sign-in codes for our member app. By opting in, you agree to these terms.

The Church-Updates Program

First Baptist Church Wisner sends text messages to members and guests who opt in through our online connection card. Messages include church news and events, schedule changes and weather cancellations, prayer chain requests, and volunteer reminders.

Sign-In Codes (Member App)

Separately from the updates program, if you sign in to our member app at app.fbcwisner.org by text, you enter your own mobile number on the sign-in screen and we text you a one-time sign-in code. Entering your number is your request and your consent to receive that code. We send only the code you asked for; these are not marketing messages. Message frequency is one code per sign-in request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Your mobile number and your sign-in consent are not shared with any third party or affiliate for any purpose.

How to Join

You can opt in to church-update texts by submitting your phone number through our online form at fbcwisner.org/updates.html. You opt in to sign-in codes by entering your mobile number on the member app sign-in screen. By submitting either, you agree to receive text messages from First Baptist Church Wisner at the number provided.

Message Frequency

For church updates, message frequency varies with church activity and the time of year, and under normal circumstances you will not receive more than a few messages per week. For sign-in codes, you receive one code each time you request to sign in.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Charges depend on your mobile carrier and plan. First Baptist Church Wisner does not charge for text messages sent through these programs.

How to Opt Out

Reply STOP to any message at any time to stop receiving texts from us. You will receive one final confirmation message. You can also contact the church office directly to be removed.

Supported Carriers

These programs are available on major U.S. wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued participation after a change means you accept the updated terms.
