Children’s Sermon Discussion Guide
Week 03August 30, 2026Ecclesiastes 3:1-15
Who is in charge of time?
God is. He has a time for everything, and his timing is always right.
Before you talk
Waiting is hard for adults too. You wait on test results, on the next paycheck, on the call back. What makes waiting unbearable is the feeling that no one is in charge. But God is. He is not behind schedule.
Before you talk to your child, think about one thing you are waiting on right now, and what it would mean to trust that God's timing is right.
Start the conversation
- "What is something you are waiting for right now?"
- "Is it hard to wait? Why?"
- "What if someone you really trusted told you, 'It is coming at the right time'? Would that help? God says that."
Look for it this week
A long car ride, a line at the store, waiting for dinner, any moment your child has to wait is a chance to practice: "God is in charge of time."
