Children’s Sermon Discussion Guide
Week 04September 6, 2026Ecclesiastes 3:16-4:16
Does God see when things are unfair?
Yes. God sees everything, and one day he will make all things right.
Before you talk
Your child has a sharper sense of fairness than you might think. They notice when a sibling gets more, when a friend breaks the rules and nothing happens, when something just is not right. What they need from you is not an explanation of why life is unfair. They need to know that God sees it, and that it bothers him too.
Start the conversation
- "Has something happened lately that felt unfair to you?"
- "How did that make you feel?"
- "God sees every unfair thing. And one day, he is going to make it all right. How does that make you feel?"
Look for it this week
When your child says "That's not fair!", and they will, do not dismiss it. Say, "You are right. And God sees that too."
