Children’s Sermon Discussion Guide
Week 07September 27, 2026Ecclesiastes 7:1-29
What is wisdom?
Wisdom is knowing what God says is true, and doing it.
Before you talk
Wisdom is not the same as being smart. Smart people can be fools. Wisdom is knowing what is true and doing it, even when it costs something. Your child does not need more information. They need to see you choose the right thing when the wrong thing would be easier. That is the lesson that sticks.
Start the conversation
- "What is the difference between being smart and being wise?"
- "Can you think of a time you knew the right thing to do but it was hard?"
- "What is one thing you know God wants you to do this week? Let's do it together."
Look for it this week
When you make a hard choice this week, apologizing, being honest, being patient, name it out loud: "That was hard, but it was the wise thing."
