Children’s Sermon Discussion Guide
Week 10October 18, 2026Ecclesiastes 9:13-10:20
Do small things matter to God?
Yes! A kind word, a good choice, a little bit of wisdom, small things matter to God.
Before you talk
You probably feel like your days are made of small things, packing lunches, answering emails, driving carpool. It does not feel like Kingdom work. But God sees the small things. A kind word to your child when you are tired. Patience at the end of a long day. These are not leftovers. They are the offering. Your child needs to know that the small things they do matter to God too.
Start the conversation
- "What is something small you did today that was kind or good?"
- "Do you think anyone noticed?"
- "God noticed. He sees every small, good thing you do, and it matters to him."
Look for it this week
Catch your child doing something small and good this week. Name it: "I saw that. And God saw it too."
