What matters most when everything else fades away?
God. He is the one thing that never fades.
Before you talk
Someday your kids will not remember what you bought them. They will remember how you loved them, and whether you loved God. The stuff fades. The house, the car, the wardrobe, the career. What does not fade? God. Your relationship with him, and the faith you hand to your children. That is the permanent thing.
Start the conversation
- "What is something that will never go away, no matter what?"
- "What about your toys? Your house? Your favorite shirt?"
- "God never fades. He is always there. Why is that such good news?"
Look for it this week
When something wears out or breaks this week, use it: "That faded. But God? Never."
